Other than her purple eyes, Aria is an average tomboy. She gets made fun of at school because of her eyes, and because of that, she becomes shy when someone gives her positive attention. Her best friend is Melody. The two of them have known each other since their early middle school days. Aria loves apples and anything to do with them. When she grows up, she wants to own an apple orchard. She is naturally a very calm person, and tries to look at things from a different perspective before making a decision. She is very in tune with the emotions of those around her, as well as her own. Aria loves her dad, and enjoys spending time with him whenever she can. Her father is the Chief of Police; she doesn’t have a mom. But that’s alright - some people are just born without moms . . . right?


~:Kione:~

Kione was raised in a science lab in the future, along with Kamau. He was fused with a lemur as a part of the scientists test, and takes on a few qualities of the lemur. Once he gets comfortable with a surrounding, he becomes somewhat playful, and more carefree. As a result of this, he loves playing with children (as long as they don’t pull at his tail and ears TOO much). He enjoys hanging out in tree tops, and watching the thing called :Television. He is also a vegetarian (although the squirrels don’t know that). The scientists gave him and Kamau extra strength, speed and agility in order to complete their experiments sooner. During the day time, Kione simply has a lemur tail, and black-tipped lemur ears. At night time however, he transformed into a full anthro lemur. For a long while, Kione has a small mind-control device on his shoulder. Since it’s on his shoulder and not his head, it does not completely control him (that would ruin the scientists test). All in all, the only thing the device does is keep childhood memories dormant, and occasionally affect his judgment.


~:Melody Perkin:~

Even though Melody and Aria are best friends, she’s pretty much the exact opposite of Aria. Melody is energetic, WAY into fashion, and has a room full of stuffed animals, and pink fuzzy things. Her best quality is how smart she is. When she gets really excited about something, she tends to speak in a very high intellectual language. When this happens, Aria is usually the one who has to simplify her sentences for others. Because Melody hangs out with Aria, she gets picked on a lot too. Over the years, the two of them have learned to watch out for each other, and as a result of this, Melody is VERY protective of Aria. She likes the fact that Kione is from the future (she finds that easy to believe with his tail and ears), but doesn’t like Aria hanging around Kione (she just doesn’t trust him). Melody’s parents died when she was 6 years old, and has been living with her rude, obnoxious great grandma. She spends as much time away from home as possible in order to avoid the old hag. For a long time, Melody would move from crush to crush every week or so – until she saw Tarka. As far as she’s concerned, Tarka and her are going to live happily ever after – just like in the fairytales.


~:Kamau:~

Kamau was raised in a science lab in the future, like Kione. He is 21 months older than Kione (that will play a significant role later in the story). He was fused with a Fossa as a part of the scientists experiment. They purposefully chose the Fossa and the Lemur because on the island of Madagascar, those two animals are natural predators. Unlike Kione, Kamau does not have a tail and ears during the day; he looks just like a normal guy. This is due to a different method of fusing the scientists used on him. However, at night time, he also changes into a full anthro Fossa. Like Kione, Kamau takes on a few of his animal half’s traits. He loves to eat meat (and just about anything else he can get his hands on), and isn’t much of a people person. His goal in life is to kill Kione, and prefers to hunt at night. Kamau also tends to be a bit of a piro, and has gotten a good reputation at school with the other piro’s (even though he doesn’t want anything to do with social groups).


~:Tarka Culver:~

Tarka tends to be a shy person and blushes easily. Both of his parents are the children of the first 5 scientists that came to power on Eris. He has really bad eyesight due to an experiment his father tried on him when he was little. Without his glasses, all he can see is blurry shadows of objects. Tarka is the only one on Eris who had to go to school. In what little spare time they had, his parents taught him all about Earth, and in time, they plan on implanting a “smart-chip” into him so that when they die, he can continue their rule. In the lab, Kione and Tarka were never friends, and in fact, they’d only seen each other once for a few seconds. Tarka traveled to the past against his parent’s orders, hoping to help Kione with his task. He completely understands what his parents are going to go after they complete this last experiment, and he is determined to stop its success. Soon after arriving on earth, he befriends Kione, Aria and Melody. Tarka and Melody enjoy solving long math equations together in their spare time. He doesn’t really know if he loves Melody, (the whole topic of love confuses him) since technically he’s never had such emotions expressed to him.

Chad has had a crush on Aria ever since he was little; and he’s always been the most popular. There wasn’t a single girl in school who didn’t have a crush on him. But then one day, these three new students come along: Kione, Kamau and Tarka. Suddenly, he isn’t the hottest guy anymore! That is just fine with him, because that means he can freely express his feelings for Aria without peer-pressure hanging over his head. He’s very confident, and is always trying to impress Aria. His favorite sports are Water-Polo and Soccer. With his athletic body, and his rich family, how could Aria not go for him? After he lost his popularity, his cousin Tina has been making him do more chores than often, but he’s fine with that; maybe Aria will see how hard he works and want to date him.

Tina and her cousin Chad were a lot like friends back when they were both popular. They’d sit together at lunch and have swarms of girls and guys around them. And then the new students came along – all three of them hott! Even though Chad may not be the most popular guy in school anymore, she feels that she has absolutely no competition with the other girls. She has a better fashion sense than Aria, and has a better figure than Melody. Besides the two of them, all the other girls are her friends, and she makes sure they don’t intrude on her popularity. With these new guys free for the picking, Tina chooses Kione. She’s constantly trying to make-out with him, and desperately wants him to forget about whatever feelings he might have for Aria or anyone else besides Tina. When she’s not chasing after Kione, and giving advice to girls at school, Tina enjoys going to the mall and blowing off as much of her rich family’s money as possible.


~:Mr. Benduvar (Thomas):~

Mr. Benduvar and a group of friends came to an area of Wyoming that didn’t have a very good police force. They all got jobs as policemen, and gradually made the force better. Mr. Benduvar became the chief of police. His job is very demanding, but he loves his daughter and spends as much time with her as possible. Currently in the comic, he is completely unaware of the bullying Aria has been getting at school. Mr. Benduvar’s whole family are Native American, and his whole house his filled with cheap knock-off Indian trinkets. For a long time, He tried dating, wanting Aria to have a mom (he has never told her why she doesn’t have a mom, and currently doesn’t plan to). Unfortunately, he has a good reputation in his work position, so every woman he tried dating turned out to be a thief of some sort just trying to get on his good side. Mr. Benduvar doesn’t like Kione, and he makes that very clear to him after their first meeting. Travin, however, is a different story – he thinks Travin and Aria would make a perfect couple; or even that kid from her school; Chad. Anyone but Kione.

Travin is the manager at a local computer company. He loves anything to do with technology and science. Aria’s purple eyes fascinate him, and he had a big role in getting her a job at the office. What was even more amazing was when Kione came flying through the space-time-continuum. One of Travins character traits is observing situations without getting involved. The huge projects he gets involved in at his home keep him in shape, and he enjoys going on a 4 mile run each morning at around 5:30. Travin is actually Tarka’s great great great great great great (ect.) grandfather, which explains why they look alike. He is a kind person, and always looks out for those around him, however with these redeeming qualities, Travin also holds a dark secret.


~:Alex Hoffer:~

Alex’s parents think he’s a little angel. He has managed to fool them for many years now. He doesn’t pick on just anyone though – he’s not that strong, and isn’t very tall – so he chooses his victims carefully. Aria is too kind hearted to do anything about his bullying, and Melody promised Aria she wouldn’t tell. They’re the perfect people to bully! And then when that popular looser Kione came along (fallowed by the equally popular Tarka), Alex realizes it’s harder to bully the two girls. He might just have to wait until both of the boys are gone for a day so continue his fun. As far as why Alex is such a jerk, most think it’s just because he’s trying to make up for his height. Others think his parents spoil him too much, making him a selfish pain-in-the-bootay. Whatever the cause, he sure isn’t ganna tell.


~:Mr. Jolly:~

Mr. Jolly is the school principal, and boy, is he a weird one! The only reason he got the job is because he absolutely adores students, and loves to see people getting an education. In fact, he loves it so much that at least 4 times a week he brings in bums off the street, practically forcing them to go to class and learn. So the actual students at school have learned to deal with a few bums here and there in their classrooms and at lunch. Soon after Tarka and Kamau came to our time, he found them and was somehow able to convince them to come to school (he’s very good with words). He’s the only reason 18 year-old Kione, and 19 year-old Kamau are allowed in the school. The two of them are young compared to the 30-80 year old bums. Mr. Jolly’s hobbies are walking around town looking for un-educated people, and playing ping-pong. His glasses don’t have little swirlies on them (like in the picture); they have smiley faces on them. Mr. Jolly likes smiley faces.
